This is the final entry in the series, as Clementine finishes out her 3rd grade year. She's not speaking to her dad since he's still eating meat, the new baby hasn't been born, and Margaret's mother is getting married. Everything wraps up nicely even if Mr. D'Matz is strangely missing on the last day of school. We were sad to finish this series and hope to find another one the whole family enjoys this much.

I wish there were more of these. I might love them more than my daughter—but the ending is perfect.

Another great Clementine book! It's the end of third grade and Clementine is having a hard time saying good-bye. I would suggest reading the rest of the series as this one doesn't really stand alone. Recommended for grades 1-3.

I've loved all of the Clementine books and am sad to see the series end - but I love that it so perfectly covered her 3rd grade year, which makes it feel complete AND easy to recommend to kids who will read the series all in a row instead of growing with it (those series are great, too, but harder to recommend when you think the series will outgrow the kid).

My only burning question will be of no interest to the book's target audience - did Clementine's mother have a home birth? Did the hospital discharge her hours after the baby's birth? I want to know all about it.

I'm also still wondering about Broccoli-Carrot-Lima Bean's real name - I was really hoping for a last minute revelation!
