I feel very grateful I listened to this book as opposed to reading it. The inclusion of their original recordings when they were 15-18 years old was so powerful and amazing. I loved hearing them improve and gain confidence in the recordings. I also really appreciated their story and how they portrayed growing up as a gay person surrounded by homophobia and internalized homophobia. Really really great read!

this is the book I wish I'd had when I was in high school. the exploration of a queer identity and confusing coming of age experience really hits a chord in me that I didn't even know needed it.
