Well-written, intriguing prose. Never liked the main character, but wanted to know what happened in the end. Anticlimactic.

A compelling read, though quite dark and not of the stature I assign to author Dan Simmons's all-time great Hyperion. A quick and satisfying read during last year's Christmas vacation.

It had horror, mystery, fantasy; it made me cry and get scared and even laugh a little. I thought the ending was fitting and left room for interpretation as to the "meaning" of the book. I loved the descriptions and the interactions between people; every character was well thought-out and intriguing. Only downside is I'm now scared to go to India. (Just kidding, just kidding. :))
