Amo la serie, amo los personajes, pero no pude dejar de sentir en toda la lectura que le faltaba algo a la narración; esa chispa que hacía particularmente especial la historia cuando era televisada.

I bought eleven of these Dawson's Creek books for £5.50!
It is no secret to anybody in my life i am a huge Dawson's Geek.
This show has been my favorite since i was 13 and i am now 36.
However, i was not sure what to expect all the same but i knew it would take a lot for me to hate these books.
Given, my go to reads are usually Horror in nature it was still a test for me.
Surprise, Surprise.. i thoroughly enjoyed my trip back to 1998.
This particular book is a novelization of the first episode although there were parts i could not remember like the "headless joey thing" but maybe i need a re watch.
What i enjoyed about this book was how much more detail you get from reading to simply watching.
I enjoyed the authors descriptions of Wilmington/Capeside a place i love so much.
I enjoyed learning small things like what Gramp's was cooking in the kitchen as apposed to just watching her cook.
All this being said i am glad that after this book they decided to create fresh stories for the books as i am looking forward to new adventures.
At roughly 40k words this was a quick indulgent ride through nostalgia giving me a fresh view of something i have loved watching for years.

I have had this series of books for a long time and meant to read them back in the day when I watched the series on TV. Now many many years later I am finally reading them :) If my memory serves me correctly, this pretty much reads like the tv shows. I enjoyed reading this book. A very quick easy read.
