There's a lot of discussions in this book regarding improper eating. While not what may be considered an eating disorder, it is absolutely disordered eating brought about by the fatphobia of some of those around her.sop17hie's review against another edition

Someone asked me on the bus if I was reading ice breaker and she was so giddy, gushing about how much she liked the book.
Not a slow burn!

. . . . .
Could have done without that particular ending. Also, I'm not a fan of the binge drinking/alcoholism and excessive swearing in this story. Maybe I just don't like college romance books? I would have liked to read more about the connections that developed between the various characters when they weren't drunk.
Plenty of spice. Seriously, it was a lot.
Maple Hills had almost cozy vibes . . . but only if the character had a trust fund or was connected to someone with money. We weren't privy to the "other side" of Maple Hills.
There were so many characters that were introduced but not developed so I tripped on a few characters that I didn't recognize sprinkled throughout the story. As far as characters go, Henry was the most likeable. I'd read another Maple Hills book if he was the main character. (hint hint)

The spicy scenes are definitely spice.
The book though is a bit too long and dragged at the end yet also the ending felt very rushed.

I wish there was more character development with the evil friend I am totally blanking on his name. Like he just seemed pure bad and I didn’t really feel for his character even when Stas was saying he was good. He fell flat for me. Actually all the characters fell a little flat I think I’m going to drop by rating down to 3.5. All the characters seemed all good or all bad there wasn’t really an in between. Or at least any discussion of an in between, like Nathan was very controlling at points. If you like spice the book is good for that, nice quick read. Will probably read this author again. Not a top romance author like Emily Henry but still enjoyable to read.

Parts of the story made me so angry though. Definitely check your triggers. It’s not that graphic when it comes to triggers, but would be nice to know. TikTok didn’t say anything about those…
