This volume is really good, Yatora, the protagonist is dealing with developing his artistic skill and influences while under the grind of art prep school. Some supporting characters help bring about some specific social pressures and prejudices that causes some very pointed tension in the story. I’m giving this volume a 4 because it’s really good yet there’s no specific high point, there’s a variety of thought provoking character and story beats. The series overall is excellent.
Moderate: Biphobia, Bullying, Emotional abuse, Self harm, Sexism, Suicidal thoughts, Transphobia, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship, and Alcohol
The alcohol is irresponsible secret teen drinking. There’s multiple levels of toxic friendships, both with the protagonist’s old friends and art prep school friends. It’s gaslighting and bullying. The suicidal thoughts and emotional abuse come from the art prep side of the plot. So does the biphobia/transphobia/sexism side of the narrative in this volume.betweentheshelves's review against another edition

More art! I enjoyed that this volume was heavily about composition, things that maybe you don't always think about when you look at art. Yatora's entire thought process about composition and how it realtes to his art is relatable, and you can see how it might change thim throughout the story.
There's also a discussion in here about famous artists and the fact that, even if you consider yourself an artist, that doesn't mean that you have to like art that's considered "good." What's considered good is subjective, anyway. It's a great discussion, especially as it relates to aspiring artists.

A major character (who likely falls somewhere under the trans umbrella but precise identity hasn't been specified so far) gets rejected on a date by a cisgender guy who says he can't date them anymore because he's "normal." This upsets them a lot, and they express to the main character that if they must be society's definition of "acceptable," they'd died. (Worth noting: so far --although they are friendly with each other-- the main character persists in calling this character by their deadname, which will likely be grating to trans readers.)
