Now that I'm older and reading this, I find myself angrier at some of the unfair things happening to Jessica. But I still love the series. I love how she'll defend her loved ones when they're being treated poorly, and how tough she is.

I really like the setting, I love a summer camp. But I really feel like Meg Cabot works hard to make sure her characters seem like good people. Like Jess says at one point she has to do her job… for the children. She’s 16, come on.

Also, I really forgot how much I was rooting for her and rob.

Wonderful, wonderful book and series. You can't really blame Jess for not wanting to get out of the lightning business.

In the second Jess Mastriani book, Jess is headed to Camp Wawasee as a councilor for the summer. Taking care of a bunch of kids, however, is a lot different than just calling in tips about missing kids. Just because she's away from home doesn't mean the feds have forgotten Jess either. Despite her claims to have lost her psychic abilities, Agents Smith & Johnson are still dogging her steps.

Like the first book, this is a fun, fast read. Good pacing, description and characters. I tore through the book in record time because I couldn't put it down.

I was given Code Name Cassandra as a gift on my tenth birthday and read and re-read it over and over again until the spine was worn and the pages were all dogeared. This was my first time revisiting it in about 15 years and I can't wait to finally read the entire series.
