I remember liking this book a lot when I was 12-13, I was a great Asimov and J.K. Rowling fan at that time :P. The best points of the book, rather, the best point is character construction, though if I am to refer to [a:Garabet Ibraileanu|1910798|Garabet Ibrăileanu|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1295716473p2/1910798.jpg]'s [b:Adela|4588176|Adela|Garabet Ibrăileanu|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1405769186s/4588176.jpg|4637609], which I've been forced to read and yes, I do hold a grudge, ''females are always more interested in such aspects. For them "Anna Karenina" isn't exquisitely delightful in style, for them it's Anna, Dolly, Kitty, Vronsky''. Maybe he's right, but then science fiction was more ''fiction'' than ''science'' for me, so let's return to the important parts. Marlene - three syllable name btw, still haven't forgotten that - is a loner-type girl with big eyes, often described as her best feature, inherited from her father's side, his sister, which give Marlene the ability to descipher body language with great precision. As expected, normal people intensely dislike the prospect of being stripped bare of their masks and mostly stay away, too. (Here for American weird concepts, there are people who actually take pleasure in being alone.)

This is a true masterpiece of science fiction. The way Asimov is able to describe his characters feelings while also keeping a sort of mystic around them is amazing.
There was a part of the book where I was a bit bored but it kept getting better and better as it went on.
The ending is amazing
Give this book a shot
