Online reviewers HATED this book, but other than it being a little gory at parts I really enjoyed it! It’s like Fargo but high schoolers. The twist isn’t particularly shocking or surprising but it was still enjoyable.
Moderate: Body horror, Death, Blood, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Racism, Sexism, and Sexual violence

I bought this book at the thrift shop because of the cover (the premise sounded interesting, too). BUT, this felt a bit intense, in my opinion, to be published by HarperTeen. The events were excessive & just...ugh. The characters felt like just that - characters. Not real people. Maybe caricatures would be a better way to describe them.
On top of that - the faking domestic abuse & using an insane asylum as a twist & comic relief (& those weird ass nurses) just didn't sit right with me.
ALSO, I just saw some reviews that shared that the author was STALKING a book blogger? Whut.

Graphic: Gore, Murder, and Gaslighting
Moderate: Domestic abuse
