What would you do if your cat offers you a Catman as a princess, but in reality you're just a café manager? Its story is a rom-com with a bit of spice, it has an interesting plot, and it gives off vibes similar to the movie "27 Dresses," the eternal bridesmaid. The language barrier in this book took a bit of time to resolve, just like the plot, which is somewhat slow if you're really looking for an insta-lust; you won't find it here since the spice happens slowly. Loki, the cat, really made this story; I was dying of laughter with his antics. He's the perfect cat companion that cat lovers would wish to have. The tension between both characters was always present; our MMC had a lot of respect, especially not believing himself worthy of our FMC. Of course, our Catman has a fancy peen, adding to the list of fancy peens and cute monster boyfriends. Sarah definitely is a drama queen, annoying me a little but is cute at some point. The romance between them is super cute and sweet; they find the family they both desired.

As always, check CW if necessary

This book is was hilarious!! There were so many moments that had me cracking up, especially where Loki 🐈‍⬛ was concerned. He definitely stole the show, but who doesn’t love a sassy animal side kick?

And the button board? I was deceased picturing a large catman tapping one of his lil paw beans on it to communicate 💀💀💀

Slower burn but with some solid build up. Carth’aiq had a lot of restraint even with that unique peen under his kilt 🍆 I would’ve preferred more spice, especially with the build up we had. But the relationship between Sarah and Carth’aiq was adorable and I loved it so much 🩷 plus I live for the forced proximity with only one bed trope 🫠

Quotes:
“Are you aware that a feline Chewbacca has just entered the room?”

“Loki and Carth-Eek were lying haphazardly on the bed with a stick of silvervine in their mouths. Their tails were flicking lazily as they both stared dazedly at the ceiling.”

“Hopefully, my curiosity wouldn’t lead to my tragic death by alien cock - that would be one way to get a happy ending.”

🌶 3/5

I could not help but love the oddity of this. The cat's inner voice....exactly how I picture cats thinking. Shisty little things. the weird getting to know one another, awkward encounters before they could communicate. It was funny how they misinterpreted what the other was thinking. I would really love to read another book by this author, especially about this couple. Now that the misunderstandings are over I am interested to see how their lives go.
