Another excellent volume in the Archibald Lox series. The politics are interesting and the books are slowly becoming a bit more grim in tone.

A couple of cons for me:
-grop (I don't find it very interesting). I found myself skimming the sections concerning grop.
-the stakes (the stakes feel too low in my opinion).
-character development - sometimes it feels like character development takes a backseat ride to the plot.

On the positive side, the romance blooming between Archie and Ghita is heartwarming and the solidifying friendship amongst Inez and Archie is excellent! The plot is top notch as usual and the world is simply magical. Also, the grim aspects introduced in book five gave the series the little spice that it needed.

Overall, this was an excellent read. I can't wait to continue with the final volume in the series.
