Okay, this whole book is literally just an Ocarina of Time fanfiction.

Change my mind.

Twilight Princess Zelda has always been a favorite. I have loved her so much more in this series, especially in this volume! This volume did resolve some of the conflict from the previous volume that I wasn’t too settled on. I still don’t know how I feel about the conflict, but I am glad it is over.

I love how this volume also shows what life in Hyrule would have been like in some areas as it is under attack by monsters. In the games that isn’t something we typically get to see/fully understand. This evil comes, we fight it off. We only see what is directly tied to the plot. So it is nice to really see the impact to smaller towns/areas in the beginning of this book.

I loved seeing an interaction between Ganondorf and Zelda. Another great example of how this series imagines different gaps in the game. Things that happen behind the scenes that we don’t get to see.

I especially loved how this volume tied Twilight Princess so well to Ocarina of Time. I know the manga isn’t completely canon, but I really like the imagery that his volume gave to tie these two games together.  There has long been a fan theory that I don’t know if it is confirmed canonically, but I was glad to see it at least confirmed in the manga series.

I'm giving this one 5 stars as well because I love we get a blast from the past with Ocarina of Time. I also weirdly enjoyed the conversation between Princess Zelda and Lord Ganondorf. I thought it was very cool.
