I struggled as a Abled reader because many of the stories were written by the Disabled community for the Disabled community, "to provide the community with another place of solidarity, comfort, wisdom, and home." There was a lot of anger and resentment as people sought to express their emotions. I also found many of the stories to be informative and eye opening, especially when the writers described mental struggles.
