One Night with You

This is the prequel to book #1 in the fatal series, Fatal Affair. It answers some of the questions regarding Nick and Sam's relationship and provides the background that was missing from the first book.

With regard to the actual story, there isn't much of one. The focus is primarily on Nick and Sam's first meeting and night together. There is little to no characterization other than Nick's prowess and, if anything, the details highlight just how immature they both were in allowing lack of communication to affect their lives. They wasted so much time instead of seeking each other out.

Overall, readers new to the series would benefit from reading this first while others would enjoy it for the background.

I have been desperate to read this story, ever since Marie Force announced it would be coming out, and it really didn't disappoint. As it was funny and hot (especially when Sam lifted her skirt to show Nick she had a gun attached to her thigh) And I loved getting a glimpse of a very flirty Nick, Skip before he was shot and the horrid Peter. And for me this really is a MUST read for anyone who is a fan of the series.

I was excited to see how Sam and Nick met for the first time. We hear little bits and pieces throughout the series so far, but never the whole story. This is a quick and sweet little novella that shows just how perfect Sam and Nick are together.

Their first night together is quite memorable, and neither will forget it for years (as we know from the rest of the series). I can totally see why they fell so hard for each other, and I totally hate her ex even more now that I see what could have been.

One Night With You is a fun and sexy addition to the Fatal series. While you don't need to read it to follow what's happening in the main series, I'm really glad I picked it up to see a glimpse into the past.

This is a very short introduction to the Fatal series. Having read some of the author's other works, this felt grittier...edgier than those other stories. I was intrigued by both main characters, and the secondary characters in the story, wanting to know more about them. I even kept thinking of the TV series Castle as I read it. It was the perfect teaser for the main series, and I can't wait to dive in and see where it goes!

This story of how Sam and Nick met left no doubt that they were perfect for each other from the first moment. Every word. Every action. Every sexy REaction. And knowing that the chemistry they had that ONE NIGHT only gets better (how that is even possible proves mad writing skills!) made for my ABSOLUTE satisfaction. A satisfaction that rarely translates into a five star read in prequels OR novellas. Thank you, Marie Force!
