I’m not sure if this book was better than the first or just the same. But it was actually good. You know what it was better. The tension at the ends really was captivating. I need to know what happens to the characters next. Cassie, Deans and Micheals relationship gets a bigger role in this book but because I’m a romance girly I can’t say that I’m annoyed. The plot with Deans Das was a great way for us to get to know him better, I just wish we could also get to know the others better, I would love to get to know their backstory.

I really love this series. The chapters go by so fast. JLB is a boss at mysterious fast paced stories. I was wrong with who I thought was the unsub and that’s rare for me. I love all the naturals lia, Sloane, Michael! I LOVE YOU MICHAEL! But Cassie and Dean are just so good together. The slow burn was slow burning and I loved every minute of it. Cassie is such a good main character

The first book in this series didn’t hit me the way I’d hoped it would, but I’m so glad I kept reading, because I loved this book! I felt much more connected to the characters, and the storyline was more interesting.

Throughout the story, I thought I knew what was happening, and then something would change my mind, and then I’d be confused, and then the cycle would repeat. In the end, I was so right and so wrong at the same time.

Like the first book, I really enjoyed this one. I loved how the Naturals all developed in their own ways and how we found so much out about all of them. The new characters were very interesting, and there were quite a few fun scenes in this book. The only thing that bothered me a bit was how it was sort of dragged out more than it needed to be, and all the twists were kind of clustered close to the end that
Spoilerchanged the whole case so that there were multiple killers, which kind of ruined the fun of trying to find out which of the suspects it actually was
.

I felt like this book was a little more foreseeable for me than the first one.
Spoiler I definitely didn't expect three killers. But I did expect Webber to be part of this. It just made sense that a person on the inside, a guard, was involved.
I love Cassie and Dean together.

Agent Sterling definitely grew on me. I feel like Redding could have been written to be a little more despisable. He was to easy for me to get over/to forget.
