Książka ogólnie mi się podobała, bo pomysł jest ciekawy. Jednak końcówka jest trochę słaba. Nie podoba mi się to zakończenie i trochę popsuło mi całościowy odbiór powieści.

I liked the book up until the beginning of the end when it just started feeling like a diary written in third person. I think it felt like that because there wasn't really a good red thread anymore, but small stories about small characters that weren't really very involved with the anchor of the story. The book was basically about a guy who got to know loads of people that all ended up dying anyways and he was left with a really sad life.

I really liked this - it was funny and sweet and sad and really a fascinating idea, and the characters were great. Even when I kind of knew what was going to happen, it ended up happening differently than I expected, which was a lot of fun. And the last part of the book completely broke my heart, but in a good way, you know?

The concept of this book sounded unique so I gave it a chance. About halfway through, I could see where it might be going but felt invested enough to finish it. I almost wish I hadn't. The story didn't improve any from there.

I found this book witty, clever, and poignant. it addresses death and loss with humor and sensitivity and the premise was very interesting, although I found it totally creepy. (I think I also liked it because the setting is Seattle and I am homesick for Seattle). I look forward to reading more of Frankel's books.

Just as funerals are for the living, RePose—a company whose technology helps recently bereaved people—is for the living who are trying to say goodbye; who are trying to let go. The problem is, people become addicted to the virtual relationship—to the deceased—the computer program offers…whether it’s the life-like video chat capability, email, or texting. Extremely well written, this thought-provoking book dishes up savory food for thought that’s richly seasoned with laughter and tears. If you’ve ever lost someone to death, might lose someone to death, or realize you’re going to die yourself one day, this book’s for you.

I thought it was a good idea but I didn't enjoy the way it was written. I found that I was often left feeling unclear on what a characters point of view was, and not in a clever way.
