I just really adore how decent and cultured this josei manga is. Kinda worried about Jojima though, I knew it, the guy's bad news! I can't make it any lesser than 5 stars, thought it deserves it, and I love this volume so much! The main couple's relationship progress is killing me! And the grandfather, just a little more push, and they'll get him on their side lol

In the previous volumes, Tsubaki was so focused on trying to figure Nao out, resorting to trying to dominate her. But, he now decides to trust her and even admits to falling for her. As a result, I think that's why he decides to tell Nao about the reason behind he and his grandfather's strained relationship- as a child, he tells his grandfather about his son's infidelity, leading the grandfather to conclude that he wasn't able to mourn for his son properly. From then on, he also never ate any wagashi Tsubaki prepared. Tsubaki displays a lot of vulnerability, from telling Nao this story and also slowly showing her just how nervous he is behind his controlled exterior. This is the reason why I've enjoyed this volume above the previous ones.

Beyond that, we have:
  1. The tea ceremony is a success, even though there was a surprise request.
  2. Mother shenanigans as Tsubaki's mother confronts Nao's "mother" at her work place.
  3. Jojima being a snake!
  4. Takigawa is the name of the mysterious moustache man who's watching over Nao.
  5. Grandfather finally eats Tsubaki's wagashi, saying afterwards that he still has a ways to go.
  6. Tsubaki wants to see a genuine smile from Nao.

Nao is shockingly stupid and overly trusting of the other people in this place. She should be skeptical of everybody, not just the Proprietress, Tsubaki, and Tsubaki's Grandfather.
