Kristan finally gets her chance in this short and sweet addition to the Storms of New England series, where we find out why Alex Storm wasn't the man of her dreams. Her heart was already spoken for by Mark, the guy who had loved her and left her years before. Now, Mark is back in town, possibly to stay, and Kristan's neat little world will never be the same.

This story should be read while snuggled in a blanket with a cup of hot apple cider. It makes the heart happy, and Christmas can't come soon enough. Don't miss it!

Forgotten Dreams by Kari Lemor
A Christmas in New England story. Related to the Storms of New England series. Stand-alone contemporary romance novella. Second chance troupe.
Kristen is the hotel manager of her family’s business in her hometown. She is surprised when her high school sweetheart checks into the hotel for the Christmas holiday. He left her ten years ago to join the Navy. He stopped writing and basically ghosted her when she thought they were in love. She doesn’t want her heart broken again but Mark seems determined to spend time with Kristen. Can they get a second chance at love?

Mark has kept Kristen close to his heart while in the service and secretly hoped she would wait for him. But he didn’t tell her.  He attained his goals of school and a degree before returning home. He’s willing to help with sweeping and cooking and all the little details or running a small business. So while I admire his ambition and follow through, I see him as self serving. But the important part is that Kristen too, has always loved Mark and is forgiving and willing to open her heart.
A heartwarming Christmas love story.
