definitely one of the best mystery novels I have ever read. Plus the characterization of the whole Vanger family is iconically dysfunctional — proof that rich people suck!!

but it’s not 5 stars worthy because tbh the last 50 pages or so we’re meh…. Like it wrapped up the financial world corruption storyline well but that was the storyline I cared ~so little~ about

Fast-paced, quirky writing. I look forward to reading the others in the series!

I kept putting off reading this book for some reason or another. None were valid. I was simply intimidated. I will tell you that for me the book was tedious for a good while. If it weren't for reviews from people that I trusted I would have laid the book down and never picked it up again. I would have missed a great story. The first half of the book could have been cut down to a few chapters of back story and character building on Mikail and Lisbeth. Once it got going it was really good and I was hooked.
