Re-read this book and man... all the feelings. Everything from gender identity, to being a refugee, to learning what it is to "be yourself," this book tackles a lot.

Warning - it will fill your soul with yearning and you will probably be depressed when you finish it. But damn it's so good.

Some of Statovci's best work!

This book was a challenging read. I appreciated the refugee perspective even thought it was at times difficult to root for the main character. Love reading imperfect trans stories and narratives that are non-american. The global perspective was appreciated. I'll be thinking about this one a lot.
