Holy Moly WWV is back with a bang! We get another chance to drop in on our favourite trio, although they are now the backstory. Josef, Gabe and Peri are still very much together and in love. We now see that their children are both beginning adult lives. Joey has dropped out of school and has been taking part in some secretive activities. But he still has time to play overprotective big brother to Gabby!! The poor girl just wants a lovelife but when your brother (not to mention your parents) can tear most men limb from limb she doesn't stand much chance!

Joey knows that the city life is not for him. His wolf paces and he thirsts for pack life. But not any pack will do - he wants the pack that threw his father, Gabe, out and left him for dead. He doesn't want to just join the pack - he aims to be Alpha!

After much training and flying under his mothers radar, Joey feels ready. He leaves to track down the pack. But will he fight alone or will he get some unexpected help from within the pack itself?

Joey is young, cocky and oh so alpha! I love that he isn't shy in protecting his sister or in protecting his friends. He has strong ties to his family, which makes him striking out on his own all the more poignant. Unlike the others in the series ASF doesn't have a love story, it's more of family-love story. Joey loves his family and his friends and realises that to make them happy he has to do what makes him happy, even though they might not like the route he takes to get his goal!

With a mixture of action, adventure, pull on your heartstrings moments and wonderfully well written fight scenes it has something for everyone. I defy you not to fall in love with this wonderful new Alpha!
