This was fine? Enjoyable sunny afternoon read with a sapphic plus-sized main character.

I did find the whole thing very cliche with one-dimensional characters and no growth from our main character. Ally is quirky because she eats donuts and wears old knickers.

Her dad was the best character actually.

Enjoyed reading a book set in Sheffield though! And that Dempseys has been renamed to ‘Toms’ but still kept the cage lmao sheffield peeps know what i’m talking about

💫 The book resonated with me, in terms of adulthood struggles, the process of breakups.

💫I loved that I could sense characters emotions, and this wasn't just an love story but a book which focuses on friendship.

📈 Sometimes I lost interest..especially when talking about the marathon process.

This book wasn't exactly what I expected but it was very refreshing. It wasn't a typical romance. It felt very down to earth and very real. The characters were flawed and it felt very human. Sometimes it made me a bit uncomfortable and cringe a bit because seeing people act like an idiot after a break up is always hard to watch but overall I enjoyed this. I couldn't put it down.
