Thoroughly enjoyable, fun and spicy read. The characters are all cute and quirky in their own ways and it’s my favourite of her reverse harem books.

This book was certainly a fast read for a novel with over 500 pages, and the writing was more simplistic than some of the other stories I’m used to.

I think what really took me out of this story was the sheer unrealisticness of it. It wasn’t unrealistic because it was a relationship between a woman and three men - it was unrealistic because they all seemed to be perfectly happy from the get-go sharing her with each other and didn’t once disagree or argue about this, despite the fact that 2/3 MMCs were supposedly
in love with her the whole time…

I also really did not enjoy the names they used (nicknames/ pet names).

Layla came across as whiny and needy.

Zack was a bit of a knob and the fact that he was hung up on his dead girlfriend that he lost when he was 18 (12 years ago at the point of this story) was a bit absurd.

I really don’t get what Josh’s problem was - why wouldn’t he just tell Layla he liked her and gone out with her from the beginning? Seems like he was attractive, well-off and Layla made her attraction/ affections known.

Luke was a bit creepy. Not because he was older but because he was her former teacher.

There were many things I didn’t like about this story.

If you’re looking for a lot of spicy sex scenes and not much substance, I guess this is worth picking up. Otherwise, skip this one.

This was my first smutty book I’ve read in a bit, but it had some cute(ish) rom com elements. It wasn’t a deep plot at all, but I will probably read the other Lily Gold books because woah.

I came for the smut but stayed for the FMC. I loved this book. Seriously, best smut book EVER. It is the peak of a "why choose" romance. Also, i must say that the audio performance on this is 🤌*chef's kiss* no notes.
I became an instant Lily Gold stan after reading this first book. Girlies, let me save you some time and say that the other books just aren't as good as this, but they are solid 3 star books. The kink/sex in them is pretty good as well, it just does not hit as good as Faking with benefits.
