I went in expecting some silly little horny book. I came out with emotional damage. The triggers are no joke so please be ready. It's still a romance though so HEA and vindication are a given.

The premise is so funny to me. It's a He's Just Not That Into you x fake dating x polyamorous erotica. The main character's neighbours run a relationship podcast so she asks them for help and they agree. Then things get horny real fast. And let me tell you the horny stuff hits. Pun intended.

I also really enjoyed the emotional side of the character relationships. I loved how individually all relationships were built between the characters, Layla has a bond with all three boys and the boys have this queerplatonic/coworker cohabitation thing going which really works.

Layla's past trauma healing throughout the book was tied to her inability to date properly and that was a really interesting subplot to explore. Of course it's mostly resolved in the horny way and not in the therapy way. That's fine. It's fiction.

**One thing I wanted to point out that I had to actively brainwash myself to forget was that one of the guys was her teacher when she was in high school Layla is 28/29 and homeboy is like 39/40. Totally not weird in the timeline. The weird part is that he's hung up on the fact that he taught her when she was 16 so he's constantly mentioning it. Like if he had simply shut the fuck up I could have ignored the whole "I was your teacher" bit but noooooo he won't stop. And then it does tie into the epic smackdown moment at the end which really kinda kills the victory of that scene because of that history. It's fine. Just pretend it's all happening in college and we can move on.

Overall, pretty fun, pretty horny. A little bit traumatic.
