Layla is a badass and I love everything about her...and the whole reason I'm not finishing this is because she deserves so much better. 

This started off super cute, even though I'm not sure if the fake dating counts as fake dating considering that they were pretty much all interested in Layla as she was them from the get-go. A lot of the spicy scenes were fun. But then the 3rd act conflict hit, and the way that some of these characters are acting toward Layla is not going to be redeemed in the last 18%. There's just no way to make up for how bad they were to her in that short of a timeframe. (And other reviews I've read seem to come to that conclusion.)

Listen, life is too short to pine for people who don't treat you well, and it's especially too short for romcoms love interests who really just need therapy. If I wanted that level of angst, I'd just read a dark romance instead.

It’s a cute rom-com meets reverse harem. The spice is well done, but I think one more scene at the end of the book would have made it perfect. I appreciated the look at grief, trauma, and divorce can impact a relationship.
