I was debating on what rating I want to give this. I was between a 3 and 4 stars. I think I got too annoyed with this books to give it a 4.

I love the premise of the book. The plot line with the podcast was intriguing. I think my issue lies with the characters. They’re all grown adults (especially Luke), so I was thrown off by their mannerisms and the simple fact that they act like teenagers in puppy love.
ESPECIALLY towards the end of the book.

Also the voices were different but the same and Ik that makes no sense but it’s the truth. Sometimes Layla would say something that I could picture the guys saying and it’s not cause she’s their close friend. It’s cause the character voices meshed and I didn’t like that.

Zack’s pet name for Layla… 🤢

But on a positive note, I love that each character had their own story and how they all had their own character flaw they were focused on. It gave the plot a little more umph.

And the guys dynamic, just themselves together was chefs kiss. They never made anything awkward. They never got possessive and jealous with each other. Their relationship felt very organic.

I did in fact enjoy the book during the read. I just cringed and got annoyed a little too often than I’d like. It’s just not anything spectacular. I’ll probably forget about it in a couple weeks. 3.75 stars :)

“And some days, I don’t think of her at all. And those are the worst.”

Reading Lily Gold books that are all about reverse-harem really is just the type of books you read on your downtime - when you can't really pick a book to read.

Wildly successful lingerie designer Layla really sucks at the whole dating thing but wishes she didn't. When her three best friends who run a relationship advice podcast volunteer to coach her in how to flirt, date, etc. she decides that she can't afford to say no.

When I realized that Luke, Josh, and Zack all run a podcast together I got the *instant* ick and, while it's still not my favorite profession for a male romance lead, I actually wound up tolerating them all fine. They seem to understand consent and communication and all of the other things that men with microphones tend to willfully ignore, so I wound up enjoying the book a decent amount. Layla thrives professionally but struggles with men and relationships because she was viciously bullied during school in sxually aggressive ways, so it takes the boys some time to build trust and realize that she's not actually bad at relationships, she's just traumatized. Rugby player Zack, podcast runner Josh, and ex-teacher (Layla's, in fact) Luke all join together to help Layla... until they realize that they'd like to keep her for themselves.

MMFM, athlete/teacher/nerd combo is 🤌🏼
She’s slightly annoying and their British accents didn’t come across well sometimes but the smut was so good
Liked her a lot more towards the end once you could tell she started feeling more confident, loved how every person got their own plot/happy ending and no one fell to the back
