I thought this was just the right amount of fun and creepy, although I wasn’t wild about the cliff-hanger it ended on (a whole book for, what, three days?) and I did think that despite being advertised for middle schoolers, this better fit upper elementary in terms of how the characters were written.

A fun, quick summery horror! I really enjoyed the main characters and watching their friendship develop. There was a lot of humor, a bit of mystery and definitely some creepy bits. I feel like though the point of this book was to set up the plot of book 2 which I think will be way more spooky and interesting.
