I wasn't expecting that ending whatsoever but i think it worked well. This book was a little slow-paced for me personally but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd never watched or read any content related to The Exorcist prior to this read so I wasn't expecting such crude horror scenes. I wish it had taken it further as the horror did feel as though it plateaued, not really reaching its full potential in my opinion.
