This book was mid. Even though it was a mystery with a few twists it was not very thrilling. Also, Alex is not the brightest tool in the shed and Mina was typical.

That ending… woah!
I was a bit bored at first but then it picked up and started running. I wanted to do nothing but read this book to find out more.
I am sitting here mourning over this character because I feel her pain and suffering.

This is a twisty page turner that I highly recommend. It has an interesting plot device; each chapter switches perspectives between the protagonist who is trying to solve the mystery of his wife’s disappearance, and a fictional book chapter written by the missing wife. The lines between fact and fiction become blurry, and the mystery unfolds in a twisty way that I didn’t see coming. The story is set in Massachusetts: in places like Boston, Cambridge, Provincetown and Truro, and I always enjoy reading about landmarks and towns where I live. I discovered this title through the Overdrive/Libby group read and decided to give it a spin. I knew nothing about it, and it turned out to be an entertaining surprise.
