A moving, heartfelt and witty memoir about loss of loved ones and struggles with disordered eating and mental health. The last third of the book hurtles by despite being the most heartbreaking, Wix's talent as a writer really shines through.

✨ Thrifted ✨

I really enjoyed Katy Wix on Taskmaster and was intrigued by the involvement of cake in her tales. Her vulnerability in this book shines through and I felt as though I knew her very intimately from reading about her traumas…
(e.g. the car crash with her father, her best friend committing suicide etc.)
🥲 Her grief process was so interesting and so cathartic to read, as I lost someone fairly recently and there were such striking similarities AND differences as to how we processed our losses. There was a moment where I gasped a little bit, because there is a quote that says ‘Known hells are preferable to strange heavens’ and that hit HARD. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Katy Wix, but also wanted to get to know grief and a comedian/actress’s process better ❤️
