I am not a big reader of non-fiction or memoirs. I normally only read them when I have to, but when I saw this book I knew I had to get it - food and mental health are closely tied for me (and for many), and I love Katy Wix. She's great in everything I have seen her in. Finding out more about her and her thought patterns in this book (which she admits at the end was her personal observations, memories and slight changes were made to protect the innocent) really hit close to home.

I went in blind, picking it up because Katy Wix makes me laugh wickedly in ghosts and taskmaster. I was expecting humor - but got hit my poignant and emotional pieces that are wonderful. Once I re-calibrated, I very much enjoyed it.

This is the first book I’ve read in a while that actually made me sob, it is so beautiful and vulnerable and true and I loved it so much.
