Not an awful book just felt very similar to the first one just told all over again, the second book in this series sets up this book but you go back in time and never get to present day. Just reading a very similar story again from different characters, exact same conversations word for word just kinda waste of time. I do enjoy their story aliitle more and love them as characters tho. I will say the ending sucks on this one just found how this book ends stupid, however the next one gets better and is slightly more enjoyable so far 🤷🏼‍♀️

i LOVED joey and aoife’s story pre shannon and johnny!!! don’t get me wrong, i missed shannon and johnny like crazy, but joey and aoife are so cute and have such a long history. i also liked getting to know aoife a bit more as she is much livelier in saving six compared to how she was portrayed in binding and keeping thirteen. i also really liked how we got to understand and see joeys struggles with addiction and get to see how much he actually did and does for his siblings and mother and how much he has sacrificed. i also wanted to mention that the way darren left was wrong. if he had left any other way i think i would have understood a little bit better, but i fully understand why joey hates darren as much as he does.

i must admit that i did love the johnny and gibsie cameo!

i also really like how the book was set up into each year of school and how you got to see both joey and aoife’s perspectives and lives throughout the years.

i also feel like it’s important to note that i absolutely hate paul and that he can be with danielle for all i care because they’re just as bad as each other (except paul is much much worse).

i think the current standing for my ranking is keeping thirteen, bonding thirteen and then saving six. just because i really enjoyed shannon and johnnys story, however i did really really enjoy aoife and joeys story.

i’m super excited to keep reading and get an insight into joey and aoife’s story starting at the binding thirteen timeline.

i’m not going to lie though i’m a little disappointed with how long this took me to read as i would have loved to have read it faster but uni got the better of me :(
