A wonderful book about mothers, daughters, and what it means to know something.

This book made me so uncomfortable and angry - but it was so good. It provokes so many necessary conversations surrounding adoption, culture and family structure/dynamics.

Did not like as much as everyone else seemed to...

I really, really enjoy Ng's characters, writing, and moral ambiguity. I wish it impacted me as much as EINTY, but it's not a fault of the story (probably just my own interests).

Sad about all the loose ends :(

This book is amazing. Gripping, real, beautifully written, realistic, sad, happy, twisting and turning.

this took me so long to finish now there were lots of boring bits and maybe because it was the first ever literary fiction book i read i found it slow and hard to get into but there were really good parts, good quotes, and i liked about half the characters so it was enjoyable at timesĀ
