I read this years ago and forgot the title and author, just remembered the story - it’s one of the rare that stuck with me. So happy to rediscover it! It’s a bit predictable if you’re only reading for twists, but I love it. The main character is not likeable at all but being in her head was so equally horrifying and fascinating. I judged short stories as not for me, but this one was perfect for the format and got me started reading other shorts/novellas.
