These are getting better for me, the story revolving more around the swamp thing. The metaphysical side of this story is so good, especially with the insane art and layouts. The last 8 pages of this are just some of the deepest reaching, emotionally risky things I've read in comics - a woman and "a plant" (to be simplistic about it) falling in love and finding their version of love-making. Trippy, nuts, so good.

The horrors of people and of things. This delves deeper into the horror aspects of the Swamp Thing mythos. I am not big on horror, but I appreciate what is done here. It is more of the psychological, the primal, the unstoppable, and less the jump scares and gorefests that turn me off to the genre.

Good stuff.

This is a fantastic collection of comics. The journey of Swamp Thing is a joy to take. Pulse quickening, engaging, pulpy, and silly in all the right ways.
