This was quite poorly done. It IS an abridged version of the episode but that part isn't too bad; the parts cut aren't (for the most part) essential to the plot and the storyline is still mostly in tact. The Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, and Harry are sent to Skarro by the Time Lords and the Doctor is tasked with either halting or altering the creation of the Daleks. Davros, creator of the Daleks, is playing both sides of his home planet's war against each other and hopes to wipe out all of the Thalls and the Kaleds and install the Daleks as Supreme Beings.

Tom Baker does a good narration. Unfortunately; the lines he was given for narration are sadly lacking. There is some description added but many scenes where it would have been helpful to "see" what was going on (because the audio is just screaming and random noises)...there's nothing to help the listener envision the scene. This would only function well if you wanted to listen to a truncated version of the episode arc and already clearly remember each scene so that when things get silent or noisy but with no description you can recall on your own what the heck is happening.
