I love Marquez's fiction, but these speeches are hit or miss. Some are wonderful, and some not so much. But well worth the read.

Después de leer este libro no hay manera de no tener ganas de haber conocido a García Márquez en persona; para tomarse unos mates y hablar de lo que sea, para ver su biblioteca completa en cualquiera de los países en que vivió, para que me presente a sus amigos maravillosos (¡a Cortázar, por favor!).

Me ha gustado mucho, es muy interesante entender la vida y las preocupaciones de Gracia Marquez a través de los discursos que fue dando a lo largo de toda su vida. Únicamente no le doy las 5 estrellas porque se me ha hecho corto. Los discursos que más Mr han gustado son:

If there was any doubt from his fiction, this collection of speeches reveals Marquez to be a charming, humble, intelligent and humane person. Piqued my interest in Latin American history for sure.
