First of all, the only way to experience this book is by audio!!!! The Try Guys narrate this book perfectly and it gave the words such weight to hear it in their voices.

I was unprepared for the wisdom and kindness of this book. I thought it was just a bit of a memoir about the how The Try Guys started and a bit of background about each of them - which it was - BUT it was so much more than that.

This is actually a self-improvement book with great little nuggets of wisdom and tips. It never gets preachy or too 'you need to change your life', it's always very much The Try Guys saying these things and they have a carefree way about changing their habits. It was really awesome that they 'tried' these changes throughout the book as well, it made it more authentic and very much on brand.

It was amazing to get to know these guys a little better and see all the ways they tackle challenges and how they constantly improve their selves and their relationships. I never thought they'd be as much an inspiration as they've become.

One of my favourite books of the year and one that I'll be re-reading (re-listening) for years to come!

I love The Try Guys – their videos are fun, silly, but ultimately really wholesome, relaxing, and even educational. Naturally, I went into their book with certain expectations, which they totally met, and I had a ton of fun with The Hidden Power of F*cking Up!

It has some insights into the guys’ lives and personalities, but overall really feels like any other Try Guys project: they try things, they fail, they goof around, but know when to get emotional and real.

It has a nice message, too. I remember being terrified of failure when I was younger and it did impact my life negatively. I can really get behind the philosophy (or failosophy, like TTG call it) of just trying things out without the overwhelming need to be perfect at them.

I also definitely recommend listening to an audiobook, since the guys read it themselves, which makes it doubly hilarious.

This book's consumption experience is interesting: on one hand, reading it gives you access to photos and graphics. On the other hand, listening to it, like I did, allows you to hear The Try Guys read their parts themselves, infused with their intent and personality. There were a lot of gratuitous F-words. I agree with the criticisms that this book wasn't really "necessary" and coms across like a cash grab and opportunity for them to call themselves NYT best-selling authors. The personal experiences and challenges covered would probably have been more effectively explored in a video format, as that is The Try Guys' specialty. Listening to it was fine, but I would rather watch videos from them instead.

The Try Guys willingness to open up and try new things is amazing. This book helped me realize that it's alright to stumble sometimes.

this book was so much more than i expected it to be. i’ve been following the try guys’ lives since their very first video. i know it’s insane to be so invested in people who don’t reallly know that i exist but that’s just how it is. my vision of this book was that it would definitely be funny (which of course it had humorous elements) but it was so much more than a funny book written by youtubers. it was a look into every single one of their lives and their journeys of bettering themselves and their relationship with the people they love. it was amazingly emotional.

p.s. the audiobook was absolutely fantastic (besides not seeing pictures.... i’m gonna need to order it on amazon...

I enjoyed it, I could hear all the guys talking while I was reading 😁
The inside of the book was nice and quite interesting, but not exciting. Many of the topics has now been on videos already, so they didn't bring anything new.
I love The Try Guys, so this was a nice add to my collection. But as a book, it was just a non-fiction about their life and their videos.

I love the try guys and I was excited to listen to their book. I really did enjoy listening and their book felt like watching their channel. However they described a few of their book challenges that happened to be videos that came out long before their book was released. Hearing an entire rehashing of a video I had previously watched made me want to skip ahead. I really enjoyed learning a few new things about each of the try guys and look forward to more content from them.
