While I appreciated and agreed with the overall message of the book and what he was trying to inspire in the reader, there were several times where he made some scientifically innacurate statements. Not even about climate statistics but basic things like displacement theory. I don’t think that makes his argument any less important, but as someone with a scientific background it certainly bothered me. I could also see people using the incorrect statements as a reason to discredit the book as a whole, so I wish he would edit those things and make a new edition. I also didn’t appreciate the several instances of fatphobia.

While the book contains great information it is a bit of a slow read. Also it is very important to know that the book has a lot of anecdotes which may not be apparent from the summary.

The author makes some very good points but the structure and writing style was repetitive and irritating in places so it was a struggle to finish

I feel like this could have been a good book but I don’t think I’m a good non fiction reader.I find it hard to concentrate unless reading it out loud, and it was no way as engaging as other non fiction books. Though I wish I could highlight and remember some quotes because there was some good stuff and interesting points there!
