I picked up 'Silverview' in an airport, having only previously read one Le Carré. I enjoyed it, but was a bit befuddled throughout. Being his last book, I suspect its best appreciated by those having read a lot of Le Carré, who are quite familiar with his spy-verse. As a newbie, I think a lot of poignant details were a bit lost on me. Still, 'Silverview' makes me want to read more of Le Carré,  not less.

Absolutely wonderful. I suspect this is the most honest of le Carre's books. It certainly feels personal.

Difficult to follow. Not Le Carre’s best work.
