More focused on making references to fairy tales than... I don't know, doing literally anything else. I knew I was off to a rough start when everyone came by introducing themselves to the reader at the beginning. It was literally just "hey, I'm Snow White. Yes, that Snow White." and maybe it's because I've had to many of these already but it's not doing anything for me. It's a bit flavorless.

It also reminds me of Top 10 by Alan Moore, but that one rules while this one barely keeps it together to the end of the first volume in one piece.

Covers are sick though...

Who killed Rose Red? Who cares. This was an exceedingly dull read: stiff, uninteresting art... stultifying dialogue.... dumb plot....

This is one of the first graphic novels I've read in a long time. Ever since I was a kid, I have tended to stay away from them, simply because I found it hard to discern which panel, and or dialogue box I should read next. Now that I'm older, and played the video game based on this series, I decided to give it a go. I found this to be an enjoyable story and an interesting read, that found unique ways of delivering the exposition to me that I truly did not expect. I am planning on reading the next book and I give it a four out of five.

Have not really ever gotten into graphic novels before. Thought they were all about roid rage-y muscle men & ladies with tits that could be used as a flotation device to save a village. I was sooooo wrong. All the positive adjectives!!! ALL of them!!

DNF at page 50. That's kind of embarrassing, since the first volume is only 118 pages, but I don't like anything about this. I don't like the art, I despise the typesetting (don't even get me started), the writing is so clunky and expositional, the world feels like a themed murder mystery party, and I'm boooooored.

Loved this. Haven't read many comic books, but I can see this being the series that changes that.

3.25-3.5 stars, but I felt generous and rounded it up to 4. Nothing exceptional, but a fun read and enjoyable references to fairy/folk tales, especially since it was created before this huge (and redundant) wave of fairy tale retellings. I will probably continue reading the series.

After reading this for a second time, it's not as good as I originally thought. I'm a little disappointed and now I realize why I couldn't remember much of the plot!

Anyone who likes this series who has not played "The Wolf Among us" definitely should. Interested to see where this story will lead me.
