Lovely illustrations. Even if the message is one I've seen before, it's great to have a reminder.

I had the chance to read my sister's copy of this book over the Christmas break. What a lovely book full of simple yet charming illustrations. The messages are heartwarming and empowering. A wonderful book to gift to friends, family, and even yourself.

Absolutely beautiful. I dogeared many a page to return to when I need a bit of reminding that love and kindness and cake can help everyone at anytime.

'Wat is jouw beste ontdekking' vroeg de mol.
'Dat wie ik ben, genoeg is,' zei de jongen.
Ik ga dit boek zo vaak herlezen. Ik weet het nu al. Wat een prachtig boek, geweldige illustraties en mooie quotes. Nu ga ik dit boek aan m'n ouders geven, want zij moeten dit ook lezen. Iedereen moet dit boek ooit in zijn/haar leven gelezen hebben. Zo goed is het.

Loved the book and messages. Might have to reread time and time again to remind myself to be kind to myself and for all its wonderful messages.
Loved the pictures.
Just had some difficulty with reading some words because of the font, hence 4 stars.

It made me cry because it was so heartwarming, wholesome, and reassuring! Truly do love the found family trope

I had never heard of this book until it was announced as Barnes and Noble’s Book of the Year for 2019. The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse is a brief graphic novel that shares the interactions and life wisdom from these 4 characters. The artwork is beautiful and the messages are lovely. This is a quick read for anyone who needs a pick me up. What a lovely little book!

This book has little to no plot. It's more a collection of whimsical lines or 'quotes' that will speak to some readers and fall flat for others.
The sketch-like drawings are cute, and the mole's penchant for cake made me laugh a few times too.
In conclusion, it's a super quick flip through, with social media post worthy lines, and is a perfect breather for between bigger reads...and it's cute.
