Like any anthology, some stories are (much) better than others. My favourites are Lebenstraum by Christopher Fowler, The Consumers by Dennis Lehane, The Bully by Jeffery Deaver, and Take My Hand by A.K. Benedict.

Kind of uneven. Some were great. Some were okay. One I listened halfway through and skipped the rest.

I liked the first few, but struggled to keep interest in them as they went on. Ended up not finishing for a lack of interest.

A super mixed bag, with some incredible shorts like ‘On The Anatomization of an Unknown Man (1637) by Frans Mier’ by John Connolly and ‘Voices Through the Wall’ by Alex Gray, but some of these crime writers really let me down. It’s a good way of trying out new authors in a genre you don’t often read though.

A very well-compiled collection of short stories by some of the greats in the mystery genre. Short stories are usually hit or miss for me. These were a hit. Some were seriously disturbing and will stick with me for a long while. Not for the faint of heart.
