Disappointing

This book was a let down. I canโ€™t imagine a woman as drive as Molly would just throw it all away for a roll in the hay. There simply wasnโ€™t enough interaction for these two characters to call so deep in love. They hardly spoke! She trashed her career without blinking. Ridiculous!

Karla Sorensen has quickly become my "go-to" author for a fun sports romance.

Focused is based on Molly, one of the four sister's under big-brother Logan Ward (from "The Marriage Effect"). She's now a professional working for the organization, and Logan is the head coach of the Washington Wolves. Enter the new player, Noah. He's just been transferred to the Wolves, and was Molly's teenage crush. She hasn't seen him since one fateful night when she climbed through his bedroom window...only to be caught by Noah's father!

Now, she's forced to work with him as a television crew is filming his first year with the Wolves, ala Hard Knocks. When the camera catches the two of them together, it records the progression of their feelings - ones that they are both denying.

This is a bit of a spin-off from the Washington Wolves series, but features a few people from the first three books. It seems like these will focus on the sisters, and I cannot wait for them all!

Good for a younger crowd.
Just a tad bit boring for me.

The first half of this was kinda eh.
I did like the pacing and the writing style, it was easy to understand and follow along.
The last half though? Amazing ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I actually teared up and cried a little in happiness.
First time reading anything from this author, and i was not disappointed.
I look forward to continuing the series at some point.
To what I didn't like; The whole back and forth between doing the "right" thing and doing what they wanted was a bit tedious, I did like the banter between the two characters but I didn't like the cliche of him being an athlete and therefore clueless and a bit dumb. ๐Ÿ˜

P.S did not know this going in, but apparently this is a spin off series. Obviously I haven't read the beginning series but I guess I'll read that series before finishing this one. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ still enjoyed the storyline even if I found the characters to be a bit meh at times.

I'm so upset with this book. I generally really like this trope but I could not get over the main character. She only thinks about what happened when she was 16 from her perspective and as far as I read never thought how it could have turned out for Noah. Naive characters? Yeah no thanks hard pass.

Pretty basic and not much to write home about.
