I think I'll add this series to my list of epic tales worthy of taking along on a cruise ship. Start to finish it was all action. Exhausting, really. By the end I was just wishing the poor characters would be allowed to get some rest! I flipped between the audible and the kindle versions while reading the series and found that I enjoyed both.

I really enjoyed this book! This series has definitely been my favorite for a story about surviving a zombie apocalypse. It seems like it has the right amount of action, gore, and feeling.

In this particular book I was glad that he took some risks with the main character. Usually the main character come out of everything with nothing more than a few scratches. Not this time though. To me that made it feel more genuine, which I greatly appreciated. I also loved that all the characters I really cared about lived and you weren't sure if they would because some of the other characters who we've gotten to know throughout the series did die. This aspect made it interesting.

I also enjoyed the zombie offspring have evolved even more into unique monster. It gives it a Resident Evil feel to it the story.

Too much of the same as the previous books. It's fun, but lack of story and character development.

Well, I was hoping for something different, but it was more of the same. That's not bad, but with this being the last book of the series I was looking for a bigger, more hopeful ending. I may have reached my zombie limit.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. Was in that terribly good place where you're reading quickly to see how it ends, but forcing yourself to slow because you don't want it to. Very much looking forward to see where Book 6 takes me.

Full review to come.
