Horrible book. The writing is mediocre and a complete replica of the rest of the books in the series. Apart from the main character, the rest of the characters are predictable and hard to love. Slow paced because some of the internal monologues (especially Landon's) are incredibly repetitive to the point where it gets boring. The plot in of itself is not only repetitive but predictable and unentertaining, the only contrast is Mia's backstory which adds interst to the story. The ending left much to be desired, it felt rushed and, in my opinion, was not thoroughly resolved. Honestly, we know what we sign up for when we read a smut book like this, but this book doesn't even meet those standards. This felt like a complete copy paste of the rest of the series, incredibly underwhelming and overall boring.

I DNFd this one. This was dull and boring. I liked some bits and the consent wasn't as bad as previous books in the series but I felt there wasn't much plot.

Mia becomes the object of Landon's obsession, his muse.

My least favourite of the series.

Tropes: dark, psychopath, enemies to lovers, boy obsessed

why does RK write the same characters for every book. it’s like every time i get my hopes up from crumbs in a previous book when i get to their book they’re just a carbon copy of most of her other MCs. i wasn’t delusional or anything but i did get a little excited for this one thinking the characters/plot would be more interesting but (surprising to no one, i’m sure) that was not the case. it was boring and the prose was just weird (almost like purple prose but like a tween wattpad author’s attempt at it) i hope after the final instalment of this series rina takes a step back for a while to work on her crap before pumping out lacklustre clones of her previous work. i’m being overly harsh bc i’ve read a lot worse before but i genuinely do think she has potential and i’ve even really enjoyed some of her work, so it’s just frustrating.

4.75!

I totally love this the reason for the not five stars is mainly because there wasn’t enough spice for me, but the plot, the tension, the banter gave me all I wanted.

I love being in Landon’s world, and although it wasn’t as as I had been expecting, it still felt like a mastermind. I’m hoping Eli’s well give me that evil mastermind type of vibe. But Landon still gave great vibes.

I also love seeing hints of the other stories from previous in the current story that you’re reading to give you a good timeline of what’s happening.

But this is going to be in my ranking of the series, so far second place out of all of them. God of malice is still my favorite. But hopefully that’s gonna change when I read God of fury.

Well, I reread the story. Yes I would and I very happy that I have a special edition of this book coming out. Yes I am. I recommend this to other people yes…. as second choice though. LOL 😂
