This started off strong, but fell short. I expected it to go quite as it had. The writing was good, it alternated character povs, and the ending felt underwhelming. RTC.

The "a novel" written on the cover is actually a lie, this is not a novel, this is a collection of short stories. Every time I was getting interested in the story we were changing POV to never go back to the previous POV.

It could have been a good story, well there was no storyline actually, but the potential was there if only it was written like a traditional novel and not in this short stories slices of life style.

Nothing get resolved by the end because there was nothing to be solve from the beginning. A big waste of time.

I liked this, but I didn’t love it. The narrative is spread too thin, and doesn’t come together in any satisfying way at the end. Still, each chapter was great as a stand-alone.

meandering but relatable

Despite a scandal and a mystery or two, All Girls drags on. But if you’ve ever been a teenage girl who longed to attend a boarding school, you’ll enjoy the attention to detail.

ALMOST hit the mark… had all the right components just didn’t really get there. Also constant POV switch was confusing for me and meant I didn’t really feel any emotional attachment to characters.

Definitely relevant right now. Through multiple narrators we get multiple viewpoints not only on the controversy but also on the arcane world of elite boarding schools.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for review.

Meh. Maybe a good beach read?

I liked it but with every chapter being a different POV, the expectation wasn’t super high.

I felt that the overarching plot could have been any school scandal and the book would have been the same. I wasn’t connected to the characters since they each only got one chapter.

I kind of wish the whole book was from Lauren’s POV.

Jeez, this was painful to get through. But, if you know me, you know I cannot physically DNF. I had no desire to pick this book up which is what took me so long to get through it.
No “teenager” talks like this. This would be better set in an Ivy League college, not necessarily a boarding school, in my unprofessional opinion.
