Although this was good, I found it a bit overdone, in the same way The Woman in Cabin 10 was overdone. It was just too much to be plausible. So much was there.

It was ok. It could have been a bit shorter because there were times it relayed repetitive thoughts and feelings. But I think it would make a great movie.

Just when you think you have it all figured it...the author throws in a twist that changes everything you questioned before finding out the truth.

A slow start but when it picked up it became a riveting page turner.

I love Ruth Ware but this book wasn’t really it for me. It was a very slow start and really didn’t pick up till 3/4 if the way through and then suddenly everything came out and it was done. The ending and the mystery was solved in the last few pages and then it was suddenly done. The plot twist was good but I struggled to stay engaged with this one

The Lying Game is well-written with beautiful storytelling, but it's an unbelievably slow burn with an anticlimactic ending.

Four girls attend a boarding school and befriend each other by playing The Lying Game. The point of the game is to tell lies to their classmates and teachers and convince them it's true. The game is the perfect practice for when one of the girl's fathers turns up dead, and the four have to craft a tale to keep themselves safe.

The story has a fun premise, but the book's pacing is a bit slow. Most of the story takes place at Kate's house near the school. It's a lot of dialogue and flashbacks to the girl's last year as you're trying to discover what happened to Kate's dad.

The ending, as far as what happened to the father, was pretty predictable and underwhelming, but it was still a well-told story with a spooky setting and a few chilling moments.
