This was way cooler than I thought it will be

Very nice story, I love how the author built the virtual reality. Although there are some similarities with common litrpg, This book engages to keep you entertained and be with the flow of the story. Will see what's gonna happen next!

I thought the premise was interesting but the main character was flat.

Excellent from start to finish. Loved being in this world, loved the characters and plot. Will continue with the series. Loved this authors work

Pretty bland, but at least it's a complete story - no cliffhanger, and an easy read.

A great book in my opinion.

I stopped playing World of Warcraft several years ago. But, this book has me itching to play again.

I always played a Horde character because I always found humans to be arrogant and vindictive and they were the only ones that mattered (sometimes like real life

It felt like Rowland was improving as the book progressed. In the beginning, there was a lot of telling-not-showing, along with inconsistent character behavior. By the end, it was four-star quality and, despite a disturbing lack of detail in the preparation and execution of the battle, the ending was satisfying.

A great entry in the GameLit genre

This is about the 30th book I have read in this genre and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to book 2.

It really felt like the author just picked a few “cool” things from other popular litrpgs and just jammed them together and hope it stuck. It was fun and entertaining on a long car trip. It was good and I’ll continue on with the series but nothing is sticking out to me as great.

Also I still can’t get over the fact that he is a kid who uses racial slurs, and tells me people to unalive themselves to the extent he is sent to jail. And the author tries to write it off saying oh well his super rich parents gave him everything he could ever want but the love he was craving. And that is going to make him redeemable?!? No thanks.
