I absolutely loved all the queer rep in this book.  The small-town romance I didn't even know I needed.  The friendships, the side characters, and the setting were all so lovely too.  I love the vibe of Bright Falls and I was happy to read more from this world.  It was also lovely to read more about Astrid and getting to see her find out who she is without her mother controlling everything.  It was so satisfying to see her character development.

originally, i really liked this. however, after reading all the reviews and seeing the complaints about Jordans character and also the issues with the certain terminology used by the author, i started to agree and change my mind about my original rating. i agree with those saying Jordan is slightly frustrating in that she always gets what she wants in the end and kind of makes Astrid the villain when it is not all of her fault. it was frustrating seeing Astrid take all of the blame and Jordan taking all of the credit. I wish Astrid would have gotten a slightly different love interest. aside from this, i really enjoyed Astrid's storyline. I loved how she came into her sexuality and started living her life for herself.

I loved this book so much! It was fun, sexy and emotional in so many ways focusing on a story line about the more adult themes of queerness and finding out your queer later in life. 
Astrid was such a star in this book. She was honest and real with just the right amount of feeling like your growing into your parents. 
Jordan. Sweet Jordan. I thought she was the sweetest thing while also having a strong sense of self and not being written as just ‘love interest’. Both women were strong and coupled each other perfectly. I wasn’t groaning reading one part and waiting for the next, both were equally amazing.
I adored the queer culture in the book from the tarot to the books to the casualness of just being queer as an adult. 
This book had me giggling and screaming at the characters. And maybe a few tears were shed too. What can I say? I believe in destiny.

I might have to say I love this one more than Delilah Green? And Delilah felt like an AU for my own life so this is a whole other level of OUCH. 

I love a good, mean girl gets her backstory and it's actually a valid one trope. Astrid's bitchy demeanor is dismantled so systematically that by the end of the book you're left wondering if they really were one and the same person. Jordan's adorable ass self really was the glue that held Astrid's fracturing sense of self together and I really loved how they built their bond through physical and emotional intimacy. Also the fact that its a grumpy x grumpy-but-so-much-grumpier-that-grumpy-number-1-seems-like-sunshine trope is just chefs kiss.

I literally could not love this book more, it's perfect.
